Commission Process
Here’s a little something to help customers understand the process that goes behind ordering a commission. It covers what images or information I’ll need from clients, and what goes into making your unique creation.
I generally accept pet portraits, custom fanart, personal OC character pieces, and crochet pieces. But this doesn’t mean I will only accept those, and welcome new ideas too. If I feel I can do it, then sure, if not then you lose nothing by asking.
The steps
1. Contacting me
You can use my contact page and send a message here, email me directly, or ask via the Instagram DMs. I will try to reply within 48 hours, though do try to follow a 9-5 weekday work time. This means out of hours and weekends will take longer to get replies.
It could be simply asking if I have available slots free for commissions, if I can draw a less common animal like a lizard or horse, etc. Or perhaps it’s about Crochet and whether I could make XYZ for you as it isn’t currently listed in the store. Remember, just ask.
I may ask for information for crochet pieces, such as size, colour preferences, and any personal requests you may have. For art this may include pet breeds, original character examples, colour preferences.
2. Confirm you commission
I will provide a quote and estimated time for your custom order, determined by the waiting list and complexity of your project. Once you confirm your commission a deposit will be required to add you to the list. See my terms for my policy on cancellations or deposits.
3a. Sending images: pet portraits
Photos will be required in order to judge your desired artwork, and these can be sent during the initial enquiry stage before confirmation or after. I would work from a primary photo and use the others to help with colouring and any markings to best capture them.
The portrait works best with a camera facing front view of your pet, and in natural lighting to reflect their true colouring. It is best if these photos do not include other people or objects that obscure the view, or cut off parts of their face and upper body.
If you are requesting multiple animals, it is actually easier for both of us to just send each pet’s own unique photos. As fun as trying to wrangle them all together could be. I will just mock-up a group edit from all the images and show you how it looks.

3b. Sending Info: craft & misc art
Fanart or personal character commissions will require example images and relevant information to capture their appearance. As I am not working from specific photos, my artistic work will differ to pet portraits.
Crochet projects will require suitable examples to showcase what you want me to make. Requirements will be discussed with you during your initial enquiry stage to determine what you want and if I can do it for you. This may also include discussion material and colour options from suitable yarn options.
4. Completion
Once the work is finished, a low quality photo will be sent to you as proof, and any outstanding payment must be paid. This may include additional materials requested after the original quote for Crochet Projects.
Whilst some may be completely happy with the final piece, you are welcome to request some edits. Though we cannot spent an indefinite amount of time on a piece, so have to limit edits to 3 per piece.
All payments are priced in British Pounds Sterling, and made with PayPal or card transaction.
5. Shipping
Artwork is generally digital, and HD files will be sent to you of the finished piece. We do not send canvas prints or merchandise of our artwork at this time. However, we may have gift bundles with stickers, and basic A5 card prints of your pet in future.
Crochet projects will be carefully packaged and sent your way. Shipping times may vary depending on your location. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the client, including customs fees. All packages are to be shipped with tracking to allow us both to follow the order.
